HBV volunteers are an integral part of our team approach to quality care. Our volunteer training will provide you with a complete overview of the hospice mission and practices. You will receive an understanding of end-of-life issues facing patients and families. There will be an opportunity to meet staff and observe some daily operation. In addition, you will receive certification as a HBV team member with the privileges of directly interacting with patients, families, and staff. There are varieties of opportunities to volunteer such as office, retail operation, Posey express, renovation, and fundraising.

The American Cancer Society will host its third annual Survivor-Caregiver Dinner on March 21 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Navasota ISD cafeteria. To RSVP or for more information, call 936-419-6665 or 936-873-2992. The attire is casual or Sunday dress.

The Knights of Columbus Council 9367 are having a fish fry on March 14 at 5 p.m. The event will take place at Christ Our Light Catholic Church on the Hwy 6 feeder road. Dine in or take out. The cost is $7 per plate.

The ladies auxiliary to the VFW Post 4006 will meet on Thursday, Mar. 20 at the post home on S.H. 105. Discussions will be held on all safety recognition and fundraiser programs.
