• John and Janis Ruen have been on the road again. This time they went to Ft. Sill, Okla. to attend the graduation of grandson Tyler Nordman. Tyler will be stationed in Arizona where he will continue his training. Tyler is the son of Mike and Julie Nordman of Flower Mound.

Then it was home for a few days relaxing, until Jessie and Marge Parker of Lanesboro, Minn. arrived and it was on the road again. Sunday, they all attended the Wedding Extravagance at the Rose Garden in Tyler. The Ruen’s daughter, Joyce Crawford, was in charge of the program.

They enjoyed three bridal fashion shows and visited the vendor booths, which made for a very interesting day. Their granddaughters, Chelsea Crawford and Hannah Nordman, were in the fashion shows, along with 15 other models. There was good food and much fun; even the men enjoyed the day.

Wednesday, they traveled to Austin to visit Jeff and Wendy Ruen and sons, and to visit the Parker’s niece Jneal and husband Mike McCallson.

Then they were off to College Station to visit Martin and Lois Erickson, and they stopped by the salon so I could visit with Marge for a little while. The Parker’s are really glad to be here now and not in Minnesota enjoying all the snow.
