Every parent wants something better for their children; something more than they had for themselves. This is what drives us parents to make decisions on behalf of our kids to better their future and their lives.

Some situations are more extreme than others. One parent may be contemplating moving their child to a different school within a district while another parent may be thinking about changing school districts altogether. And then somewhere in the world, a parent lays in a makeshift bed dreaming of coming to a country that would be better for their children to grow up in. And it’s all compelled by hope.

We all want the same thing, a better quality of living, more opportunity for our children and an equal chance at success in life. What motivates us all to make these decisions is hope. Hope is the promise that things can be better.

The school board at Navasota ISD is dedicated to creating an atmosphere in this school district that exudes hope. Everything we do, every decision, is based on bettering our district for everyone … hope. We get to see things on a macro level but it is evident that Dr. Musick and his staff and administration share that same desire for this hope-filled atmosphere. It’s even more evident in our teachers.

The heart of an educator is special. I know many of the back stories and I’ve witnessed teachers in action who have inspired me to be a better leader. I’ve seen the love they give, not just for their job, but for their students and in those special circumstances, they provide that spark of hope that will change some students’ lives forever

Right there, in the middle of faith and love is hope. Hope for things to come. As we enter this special time of the year, the hope that Navasota ISD brings to this community is a testament to our past and present but mostly our future.

Be a part of the solution. We are Navasota!
