BRENHAM – The Bluebonnet Opry House Band takes center stage during the monthly Bluebonnet Opry performance at Silver Wings Ballroom Feb. 16.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 each and are sold at the door. A portion of the proceeds benefit Hospice Brazos Valley. Bluebonnet Opry hosts concerts every third Thursday of the month. The Silver Wings Ballroom snack bar will be open serving hamburgers, hot dogs, sodas and adult beverages.
Bluebonnet Opry House Band
The band consists of Gary Brock on bass, Craig Schmidt on the steel guitar, Doug Boggs keeping the rhythm on the drums, Harris Kubos Sr. on fiddle, Wayne Turner on lead guitar and John Dujka on keyboard. Each of the band members also sing. Troy Arndt (Trail Boss Troy) serves as MC and Chip Wied is in charge of the sound board.

She presented her state project that benefits the National Buffalo Soldier Museum in Houston. Funds raised will create additional exhibits at the museum. Members attending include Mackenzie Mayfield, curator; Braxton Mayfield, recording secretary; Bella Proske, corresponding secretary; Scarlett Proske, treasurer; Bonnie Meredith, second vice president; and Reagan Meredith, president.

The vote was held during the Feb. 1 Regular Meeting of the Commissioners Court.
The ESD No. 2 petition was presented to commissioners Nov. 2, 2022, by Richards resident Michelle Gremillion on behalf of her co-petitioners Terry Lowrey and Richard Gremillion.
