The Navasota City Morgue Haunted House, 101 East Washington Avenue, is sure to be a spine-chilling good time for a great cause. Read moreThe Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), a recipient of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Community Conversations Health Grant, has partnered with the Family and Community Health branch of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service to collect data to help reduce ‘health disparities.’ Meetings were held in Plantersville Sept. 20 and in Anderson Sept. 22 in an attempt to connect with faith-based organizations to assist with data collection. Sherrill Rawlinson, a Regional Evaluation and Performance Specialist in Public Health Region 7 explained the meetings saying, “We’re trying to figure out what it is that’s needed but we can’t do it without having the data and we’re trying to maximize that effort without going door-todoor.”
