Navasota Soccer is on goal with where they want to be to begin District 20-4A competition, winning their first two games.
After two years of being defeated by Royal, The Rattlers opened with a 4-2 win over the Falcons. Navasota followed the win with a huge 6-1 victory over Harmony.
The Rattlers played at Hempstead Feb. 14 (results were not available at press time). The Rattlers host Sealy Feb. 17, an at Bellville Feb. 21. Games begin at 7:15 p.m.

ANDERSON – Navasota High School powerlifters earned multiple top finishes during the Anderson-Shiro Powerlifting Meet Feb. 7 and 9.
BOYS
Two Rattler lifters placed first, Tyler Sierra and Chance Risner. Nicholas Hernandez and Drew Chavez each placed second. Dario Luna placed third.
GIRLS
Navasota lifters placed third overall at Anderson-Shiro. Jocelyn Sanchez placed first to lead the Lady Rattlers. Other Navasota strong women placing include Emma Stankiewitz, second, Angelina Burnett, second, Hannah Silcox third and Avery Seale, third.

The Iola High School graduate is a freshman on the women's developmental team, whose roster has 12. The team played six games in the fall and four in January, according to the online schedule, and the last game is scheduled for Tuesday.
Pointer was placed on the developmental team because she said, "I didn't decide I wanted to play until right before I moved in."
A teammate talked her into pursuing college basketball. "I absolutely love it now," she said.
