• Jan. 11- District 9 Invitational Quiz Bowl and District Council Meeting in Huntsville.

• Fashion Show Information Session deadline to register.

• Jan. 17- Deadline to submit 4-H Opportunity Scholarship Application to Extension office.

• Jan.17- Feb. 8- Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

• Jan. 18- Fashion Show Information Session.

• Jan. 19- Grimes County 4-H Council and Leaders Meeting.

• Jan. 24 & 25- District 9 4-H Archery Contest.

• Jan. 30- Feb. 16- San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo.

• Feb. 6-23- San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo.

So many young ladies are being trafficked across the country and Houston is No. 1 in this terrible crime. Connecting Point Church is hosting a free human trafficking forum Monday, Jan. 20, from 6:30 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. The event is hosted by Sexual Assault Resource Center. Veterans needing flu shots can get a free flu vaccine at Walgreens until March 31, 2020. To receive the free vaccine, veterans need to have their Veterans Health ID card and have one other form of ID.
