November is Alzheimer Awareness and National Family Caregivers month.

The Renaissance Festival began Oct. 5 and runs through Dec. 1. Children get free admission on Sundays. Be careful in the traffic and around construction.

Veterans needing flu shots can get a free flu vaccine at Walgreens until March 31, 2020. To receive the free vaccine, veterans need to have their Veterans Health ID card and have one other form of ID.

The Plantersville-Stoneham Bunch annual fundraiser will be held Thursday, Nov. 21, at 6:30 p.m. They are accepting donations, desserts, door prizes and items for auction. They also need volunteers. Please contact Rachel, plantersvillestonehambunch.com, for more information. They helped 60 children at the Grimes County Fair this year.

UC Out and About will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, at Bernhardst Winery, 9043 CR 204 in Plantersville from noon till 6 p.m.

Charm and Sewing 4-H Club

Sock Drive for senior citizens. Donate two pair of socks or one package of socks. Socks can be dropped off with Nehemiah Banner and he can be reached at 979-422-5381 or homeschooling.is.love@gmail.com. They may also be dropped off to the Grimes Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office, 203 Veterans Memorial, Navasota.

A gender-neutral pajama drive is being held through Jan. 26. Contact Zaevion McDonald, 936-355-4667 for more information.

Annual blanket, quilt and afghans drive through. Donate new or gently used afghans or blankets through Jan. 26, 2020. Contact Chyna Warren, 936-219-0619 or Freda Warren, 936-825-3850 for more information.
