Whitehall News

The sunshine today is awesome. One would think that it is warm outside but that is not the case. I need to get yard work done but it will be there until I manage to do something about it.

I received a call from the County regarding the census happenings. Once I receive more information I will let our community know the particulars.

This current week has been somewhat traumatic to me. Being single is not a bad thing until you have to make a substantial financial decision. Me, I am sick to my stomach and just want to cry! Okay, I am done with my rant. Thank you.

Keep the Whitehall Community Center 5th Annual Birthday Bash and Car Show April 25, on your calendar. The organization would love to have you come. Several members worked last Sunday to change out electric plugs, clean all the kitchen appliances, wash windows and curtains and we even did a little painting. The following day the floors were swept and thoroughly mopped by Mayor Charlie’s parents. You have to give him credit, he is taking his position seriously!

Grandparents do a lot for their grandchildren. With that said, I helped two Diamonette moms with hauling, dividing and distributing Nothing Bundt cakes. I asked Kacie how many cakes they sold, and she replied 1205. To be honest, my back felt like it was 12,000 of those cakes. I am glad this fundraiser is only once a year. So, I have done two big fundraisers now for this organization. I think I will hide out till May is over!

Please keep my granddaughter, Paige, in your prayers. She was not released yet this week due to her concussion. Unfortunately, this was not even her fault. I sure hope that her next school year will be much better. A bubble wrap suit may be the answer for her.

Our sick and homebound friends include Sue Kolojaco, Lawrence Lieder, Dorothy Mahaffey, Mary Bauer, Albin Finke, Rosa Finke, Lois Bell, Leon Gorney, Doug Taylor, Garry Wise, Kathy Cave Wells, Glenn Binder, Pauline Kaspar, Michelle Guajardo, sister of Billy Robbins, and Alexander Hanna, grandson of Curtis and Darla Kolojaco. Please add these friends to your prayer list.
