Don’t eat alone this year. Join us on Thanksgiving Day for a community Thanksgiving lunch at Union Grove Baptist Church in Richards Nov. 28, at noon.

Mid-South Synergy was in town and said It was a great morning to surprise the calendar art contest Winners at Richards Independent School District. Be on the lookout in mid-December for the 2020 calendar featuring artwork from students across the service territory. Mid-South congratulated Neely, Cotton, Catherine and Cash and said they we want to share their artwork with the membership. Congratulations to all these students! There is just so much talent at RISD.

Friday, Nov. 22, will be an early release day for Richards ISD. Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. Thanksgiving break will be Nov. 25-29.

Joy Montgomery was very busy Saturday with the Montgomery County Heritage Museum as she welcomed the Alabama Coushatta Tribe of Texas with a beautiful presentation of history and culture. It was such a beautiful day.

Please keep the family of Kenny Meadors in your prayers. Meadors, an officer for the Bryan Police Department, died unexpectedly at his home Saturday.

Grimes County Toy Run MACH XIV will be held Saturday, Dec. 21. Come ride and help spread Christmas cheer this year in Grimes County. Meet at 9 a.m. at Yankees Tavern in Carlos.

Happy birthday to Linda Shead Klawinsky, Margaret Eppler and Janet Rosenquist were all celebrated birthdays this past week.
