There were numerous postings on Facebook regarding fires in our county. Now is not the time to try to burn trash. I was worried about my oldest grandson and called to see if his house was anywhere near the fires. Thankfully, he was okay. He told me he saw one of the fires and stopped to assist others who were volunteering prior to the arrival of fire departments. He pulled his pressure washer off the work truck; folks were getting hoses and hooking up to keep the fire contained as best as they could. Unfortunately, he did see the house and barns burn.

I received a message from Caitlyn Druckhammer regarding her grandmother. Please add Glenda Druckhammer and her family to your prayer list. She is struggling with medical issues and prayers are requested.

The Mark Gremillon family was involved in an auto accident Sunday at FM 362 and FM 2. The entire family was taken to the hospital and Luke suffered a severe laceration on his forehead. All but Luke were released that day as the doctors were monitoring him closely. Thanks to the prayers, Luke was released Tuesday and the children were able to attend VBS at Trinity. His mom says that keeping him from jumping up and down to the music was somewhat of a challenge, but they plan to return and finish the week.

A little bit of swimming does kiddos some good, at least it was good for some of my grands - even the youngest one. Once he got used to the “big” pool, he had a blast. Even though her party was only family, Bree seemed to enjoy her 16th birthday party. She really enjoyed passing her driver’s test. Look out Burleson County!
