Everyone is invited to the Grand Opening of the (Bedias) White Hawk Gallery, located in the Bedias Museum/Library Annex, this Saturday, June 6, noon to 6 p.m. Please go to their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/whitehawkartistllc or call 936- 395-0100 for more information.
Please take the opportunity to offer an encouraging and cheerful word to all within speaking or waving distance who may cross our path. Our hearts need that essential uplift, perhaps now, more than any time in recent memory. Thank you to all who remain at their duty stations (including our local newspaper outlets) and to those who are keeping the home fires burning during this season of trial and testing.
No Bedias Civic Club meeting is planned for Thursday, June 4. This month’s Bedias Women’s Club meeting set for Thursday, June 25, is tentatively planned to be a “Celebration Tea,” and our long anticipated Bedias Homecoming celebration set for mid-June is now rescheduled for June 2021.
The Bedias Museum and Library is expected to reopen Thursday, July 2, and a special collection of books remain available on the library steps for Bedias area residents to take home and share with friends and family.
It is likely that many Bedias events and gatherings will still be disrupted through much of June, and possibly July. Please watch for postings and notices on the Bedias community bulletin board at the Bedias Civic Center and at the Bedias Post Office.
