Anderson News

It’s the time of year that Anderson Volunteer Fire Department conducts their annual fund drive. As most VFD’s do, they depend largely on contributions from the community they serve. Pretty much everyone in this area should have gotten a letter in the mail recently concerning this fund drive. Please consider donating to our VFD as you never know when it might be you that needs them. Last year’s contributions replaced worn-out bunker gear and helped volunteers attend several trainings. All funds collected this year will go toward further trainings which allow the volunteers to better serve and protect our community members and themselves, more gear and equipment and any future purchase of needed apparatuses.

The Anderson Volunteer Fire Department greatly appreciates all the generous donations received in the past years and look forward to your continued support this year. If you would like to contribute to this worthy organization, just write out a check and send it to the Anderson VFD at P.O. Box 561, Anderson, TX 77830. If you would like to find out more about this organization, contact fire chief Michael Kimich, 936-870-8776 or the president Darrell Dietrich, 936-873-2725. Business meetings are held the third Monday of each month at the fire station on Hill Street at 7 p.m.
