I receive so many emails that sometimes I miss interesting facts. Recently, I read the Veterans Administration has made June national PTSD month and they are working to offer various services to our veterans. Actually, PTSD is not a medical issue only for veterans, there are many factors that can cause post-traumatic stress disorder for individuals. I have known people who suffer from this and it can be very difficult to deal with.

The Gabriel Goode Fundraiser was a great success and the family wants to thank everyone who worked, planned, bought a plate, bought tickets and everything else. Gabriel still has a way to go, so keep him in your prayers.

Salem Lutheran Church is hosting VBS July 11- 15, from 9-11:30 a.m. It’s a week of stories, crafts, games, singing and good food. On May 22, Union Grove Baptist Church honored its graduating high school seniors with a plaque and a prayer for their future endeavors. Rebeca Stratton, daughter of Darrel and Azucena Stratton and Perla Ramirez, daughter of Juan and Janie Ramirez, were both recognized during the Sunday service.

Rebeca is a 2022 graduate of Navasota High School and active member of Union Grove Baptist youth. Her plans for col lege are to attend Texas A&M Corpus Christi majoring in psychology and then to transfer the following year to Texas A&M College Station campus.
