The holidays are always fun but it’s also nice to get back into a daily routine. This week people should start getting back to their regular schedule. My family didn’t get off to a good start as we put my mother Dolores Hoffart into the hospital on New Year’s Day for dehydration and a UTI. She’s much better but it threw our routine into a tailspin!

I never have a lot of news over the holidays because everyone is busy with their families and not much else is going on. So, remember to send me special things happening in your family or news that you would like to get out. I know Facebook is a big way to tell about family events or special happenings but don’t forget there are people like me out here that don’t have time for that or don’t have access to Facebook. Therefore, the news they get is from the newspaper and there are still lots of people that read the newspaper to find out events. So please send me news about things happening around our community. There are others that like to know or attend local events. And yes, it’s true, I don’t do Facebook and I know I miss out on lots of things, but I have a hard-enough time keeping up with emails, phone calls and texts. So, for those out there on Facebook, if you see something going on in our community, please let me know about it so I can share with those who can’t see it on Facebook.
