Iola News

The semiannual bookfair is happening this week in the elementary library. There are books perfect for pre-readers all the way through preteens. This is a great place to help your children develop a love for reading. It is also a great opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done for your children and extended family. The fundraiser benefits the library and is a great opportunity to support Iola Elementary. The bookfair will run until Friday, Nov. 22, and is open during school hours.

Shop local for Christmas this year. There will be an Iola Town and Country Christmas Market Monday, Dec. 9, from 3 p.m. till 9 p.m. This event will take place at The Mercantile at Main St. Market and The Rockin Chair. Join us for shopping, fellowship and fun. There will be many vendors featured, hot cocoa, local food truck, and musicians playing your favorite Christmas music.

Shoutout to the varsity football and varsity volleyball. Both had amazing seasons and worked hard for their achievements.

There will be no school the week of Nov. 25 for Thanksgiving break.
