Vaccines are approved for children starting at age 12. We have vaccines for childhood diseases or viruses but there is no push for these vaccines to be given. Some of the childhood diseases were on the rise – especially measles. How many in Grimes County are allowing their children to receive the COVID-19 vaccine? A booster shot may be needed if you already had the two shots. This is to protect you from other strands of the virus. I’ll keep wearing my mask.

Recent rain has stopped road repairs in the Blackberry Community. The contractor is working in other areas due to the recent rain not allowing him to finish the job here. Per our county road engineer, our road will be finished in the required time-frame. Our roads are in bad shape - there is no avoiding holes. Please continue being patient and pray for better weather.
