Keith Civic Club meeting Jan. 27
Graveside services for Mary Jane Neal Robinson were held Saturday, Jan. 8, in Evergreen Cemetery. She was born Feb. 13, 1938 to Brewer and Francis Neal. She passed away Jan. 3, after a short illness. Mary married Kenneth Dale Robinson and they had two daughters, Katherine, who later married Tim Carson and Karen who married Troy Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband who died Nov. 28, 2017. The service was under the direction of her pastor, Rev. Matt Higginbotham. Prior to the service, family and friends were served a meal in the Evergreen Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Remember her family members and friends in your prayers.
The ashes of Wendy S. Brown were buried in Evergreen Cemetery Sunday afternoon, Jan. 9, during a private ceremony. She passed away last year, Nov. 30, 2021. Her service was held Dec. 4 at Iola Church of Christ. She was the daughter of Connie Davis Francis and the mother of Peyton Ray Brown and Ethan Earl Brown. May her memory be forever blessed. Do remember her loved ones in your prayers.
The Fellowship Baptist Church in Carlos enjoyed a time of fellowship following their Sunday service Jan. 9. The meal was enjoyed by all present. The church’s pastor, Bro. Joe Saffle, is recovering from his bout with cancer and really looks good. He appreciates all the prayers that have been offered up on his behalf. Keep praying for him and his wife. Prayer really works and changes things.
Keith Civic Club will hold their first monthly meeting since November 2021, on Jan. 27, at the Keith Community Center. There will be numerous business items to handle. The meeting will begin with a covered dish meal at 6:30 p.m., followed by the business meeting. Club president is Bob Templeton and secretary is Tammy Sanford. Since it is the first meeting of the new year, membership fees are due. Come join the club and meet with your friends in neighbors. Hope to see you there.
The monthly meeting of the Iola-North Zulch Order of the Eastern Star No. 458 will be held Monday, Jan. 24, at the Pyramid Masonic Lodge in North Zulch beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a covered dish meal. The meeting will follow. All Eastern Star members are invited to attend.
