Saturday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., you can take a ride through history and experience what travel in early Texas was truly like at the Fanthorp Inn in Anderson on the replica stagecoach. Admission is free but the suggested donation for adults is $4 ($10 with coach ride) and for children is $2 ($5 with coach ride). Anderson’s 14th Annual Trunk or Treat event will take place on Main St. Saturday, Oct. 29 from 6-8 p.m. Bring your children out to the street for a safe and fun trick or treat evening. There will be free candy and all types of activities for children. Grown-ups have just as much fun as the kids do. St. Mary’s gigantic annual Rummage Sale is set for Saturday, Nov. 5 from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. on the church grounds, 8227 CR 205 in Plantersville. Early Bird Shoppers can shop between 7-9 a.m. for a $5 cash admission fee. There is no charge to enter after 9 a.m. There will be bargains galore and something for everyone. Over 1,000 families have contributed items to this sale. You won’t want to miss it. Food and soft drinks will be available at the concession stand. Calling all veterans! Anderson- Shiro Jr. - Sr. High School will host their annual Veterans Day Breakfast in the cafeteria at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11. A Veterans Day program will take place immediately following the breakfast beginning at 10 a.m. in the gym.
