Computer issues have managed to mess up my entire week! Being a dinosaur is okay sometimes but when it comes to technology, it is not fun.

I bet most people know already that I am going to be a great-Gingi again. The only problem I have is this little one will be farther away from me. I am hoping they can put a camper near the house so I can stay a week at a time. I wonder if they would agree to that. This little one is due in August which will make five birthdays for grandchildren in that month. A part-time job is looking really good now.

White Hall Community VFD met Monday night for their monthly business meeting. There was not much business to be discussed but it is always good to sit down time with the members. The Saturday BBQ was a little light this time, but I would like to thank all the customers who continue to come out and support the fire department.

Navasota schools resumed classes and Chucky came over to let me know he did well on one of his tests. He was so excited. Being a freshman in high school has been an adjustment for him.

Salem Ladies Circle met Wednesday, Jan. 11, following the Bible Study. I want to thank Wanda Sebesta for coming and being voted in as a new member of our group.

Union Grove Baptist Church, 15301 FM 362, Navasota invites the Whitehall and neighboring communities to a Church Social Jan. 21, from 5-8 pm. We’ll have hot dogs, smores and hayrides. All are welcome.

Salem Lutheran continues to have Bible studies on Tuesdays at 9 a.m., Wednesday evenings at 6:45 p.m. and again on Sunday morning prior to the church service at 9 a.m. Children have Sunday school class the same time. Visitors are always welcome.

Please add our sick and homebound friends to your prayer list. These friends include Lois Bell, Jean Fleischhauer, Margaret and Pastor Schultz, Sue Kolojaco, Mary Bauer, Rosa Finke, Delores Mitschke, Mary Whatley, Billie Wittenbach, Alexander Hanna, Troy Weigand, Shawn Welch, Wyndy Kimich, Clay Oncken and Betty Feldmann.
