Regional History Fair Winners 2020

    Courtesy photo Navasota High School seniors visited the State Capitol of Texas in Austin Wednesday, Feb. 5, as a part of their government class.

The following students placed at Regional History Fair Friday, Feb.7, at Washington on the Brazos. Students that placed first and second will move on to compete in April at the State History Fair in Austin.

Historical Paper- 2nd Place-Melisa Castillo- The Alliance of Broken Barriers; 3rd Place- Zaria Tenorio- Liberation Without Restriction;

Individual Documentary- 1st Place- Tabatha Acosta- Young Minds through the Holocaust; 2nd Place-Lillian Mahan- Deborah Samson: The Seed for Women in the Military;

Group Performance- 1st Place- Kaylani Hazel, Haven Rodriguez, Rebeca Stratton- The Wonderful Adventures of Mary Seacole;

Individual Exhibit- 1st Place-Emilie Ponce- From Human Computer to Rocket Scientist; 3rd Place- Bethany Izaguirre- Marie Curie: Physicist and Chemist;

Group Exhibit- 1st Place- Avery Seale, Orlando Spears- Jane Goodall: Breaking Barriers of Science, Exploration, and Gender Roles; 2nd Place- Ismael Gonzalez, Trysta Quezada, Carlos Santoy- Agricultural Hero; 3rd Place- Amy Arredondo, Estefania Villanueva- 10 Days in a Madhouse;

Individual Website- 1st Place-Ariana Gonzalez- Leonardo da Vinci: Breaking Tradition and Revolutionizing the Modern World;

Group Website- 1st Place- Elora Alexander, Alexia Nobles- Hidden in the Stars; 2nd Place- Hunter Haug, Andrew Junek, David Yorek- The Korolev Constant: The R-7 Semyorka
