Anderson News

Friday evening, March 15, was Grimes County Night at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Don and I, along with County Judge Joe Fauth III and his wife, Sherry, headed for Houston before noon. At the rodeo, we met up with Fair Queen Kirstie Busa, Geralyn Backhus, Bridget Coronado and Kelsey Coronado. We ran into Darryl and Shelly Pasket of Anderson, who also sat with all of us in the Grimes County section. It is a tradition for the county sheriff, county judge and the fair queen to ride in the Grand Entry of Grimes County Night each year. Cody Johnson, a somewhat local boy from Huntsville, was the performer for the evening.
