Grimes County Youth Football Association (GCYFA) is currently registering players ages four to 12 to compete in full contact tackle football.

The league has been in existence for 18 years and competes in the Lone Star Football Association.

Players living within Grimes County including Navasota, Anderson, Iola, Plantersville and Richards are eligible to play in the league.

GCYFA promotes fair and competitive competition for all players. The league has a dedicated coaching staff that teaches football fundamentals, proper tackling techniques and is dedicated to player safety. Participants can expect to learn the game of football in a fun atmosphere with equal opportunity for all players.

The goal of GCYFA is to instill the basic skills, rules and knowledge for players of all skill levels. GCYFA also aims to prepare players who have a desire to play football in junior high and high school.

Registration is $150 and ends July 25. Coaching and volunteer opportunities are also available.

If you would like information on how you can register for the award-winning program contact Sergio Trejo 936-870-6639, or Andre Sargent 936-419-9618.
