Anderson-Shiro Owls donate ‘Pink Out’ funds

Anderson-Shiro Consolidated High School Student Council Officers and the Fighting Owl Football Captain’s Council presented Doris Light, President of Pink Alliance, with their third annual donation check in the amount of $1,250.00 for a collective donation amount of $3,500.00. Pink Alliance serves women locally to promote breast cancer awareness, provide mammograms, and offer supportive care and financial aid to those affected by breast cancer. The Owls continue to raise awareness through annual Pink Out events and wish to extend financial help to women through Pink Alliance. They thank everyone who purchased a shirt, donated at the concession stands, or simply offered an extra donation. They also thank the football team members who wore pink at the game by individually pledging funds. Collectively a difference is being made in the Brazos Valley community!
