BEDIAS - A local man has been arrested on five counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Enoch Santo Rivera, 35, of Bedias was arrested Oct. 29, and booked into the Grimes County Jail.

Rivera is one of five people arrested in connection with Possession of Child Pornography. Damon Todd Turner, 52, Justin Howard Everet t, 37, Jason Dominguez, 29 and Carl David Baxter, 43, are all from College Station.

Rivera was arrested after a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) notified CEU that Rivera uploaded to an internet service account. Numerous digital devices were seized from Rivera by the CEU and will be investigated by the Digital Forensics Unit.

“I commend the hard-working investigators from my office’s Child Exploitation Unit for stopping these child-predators from potentially harming more innocent children,” said Attorney General Ken Paxton. “This grotesque behavior is clearly rampant across the country and it serves as a reminder that we, as a community, must continue to protect the vulnerable from exploitation.”

Paxton urges if you suspect someone is producing or downloading child pornography to report it to NCMEC.

Since the inception of the CEU, 347 arrests have been made and 593 convictions obtained.
