Hayes arrested for credit card misuse

COLLEGE STATION-Kathryn Victoria Hayes, 25, of Navasota was arrested April 1, for allegedly using a company credit card intended for business only purchases to make personal purchases.

Hayes is charged with misappropriating finances worth more t h a n $2,500, a state jail felony punishable by two years in a state jail and up to $10,000 in fines. She was released the same day on a $10,000 bond.

According to College Station Police Department, the manager at Homewood Suites in College Station noticed a suspicious purchase made by Hayes, who was the assistant manager at the time.

The manager reviewed company accounts and discovered Hayes made several illicit purchases since March 2017.

Hayes who has since been terminated, is accused of making approximately 19 transactions valued around $3,000 total.

Purchases in question were made at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club including furniture, home decoration, clothing, books, food, toiletries, toys, wrapping paper and approximately 25 bottles of wine.

According to reports, Hayes admitted to CSPD in March that she made “poor choices.”
