Hidden Hills’ Phase I passes P&Z muster

Following a trip back to the drawing board, Ante Development, LLC, developers of the Hidden Hills subdivision presented a revised plan for cluster mailboxes at the Thursday, Oct. 27, Regular Meeting of Planning and Zoning. Satisfied with the changes, commissioners approved the final plat of the 31-lot Phase I portion of 100-plus home subdivision being constructed along Laredo Street and N. LaSalle Street.

Development Services Director Lupe Diosdado said, “Following the last P&Z meeting where the variance for the mailbox area was declined, the developer did not want to pursue that request through council, so they actually asked staff to remove it and they’d go back to the drawing board and get the mailbox area designed in a way that met all of our standards. They have done so. The plat was reviewed per all city standards, and it met those standards.”

Diosdado added that if approved that evening, the plat would be filed with the Subdivision Agreement approved at the Oct. 13 meeting, depositing escrow for missing improvements which include the mailbox cluster, street lights and electric infrastructure.

In other action, commissioners approved the minutes of the Oct. 13 meeting.
