BEDIAS- A Houston man wanted in the accidental shooting death of his 3-year old son was taken into custody by Grimes County Sheriff’s deputies in Bedias.

On Nov. 1, 3-year old Joseph Love was accidentally shot in their home located on the 6400 block of Skyview in Northwest Harris County. Harris County Sheriff said Ed Gonzalez said several children were inside of the home at the time of the shooting and it wasn’t clear whether the child shot himself.

The 3-year old was airlifted to a hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. A warrant for Anthony Love, 31, of Houston was issued on the charge of making a firearm accessible to a minor.

Grimes County law enforcement was notified Nov. 13, by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division that Love could possibly be in Grimes County.

Grimes County Pct. 1 Constable Dale Shaper and Grimes County deputies began working to locate Love. Love was arrested Nov. 14, near Bedias.

The investigation into the child’s death is still pending, according to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
