Mayor to present annual State of the City address Jan. 12

Navasota Mayor Bert Miller will present the annual State of the City address on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. The address will be delivered at the Navasota Center where the mayor will recap the year 2021 and provide his vision and insight for 2022 and beyond. In addition to the mayor’s presentation, updates will also be received by Grimes County Judge Joe Fauth, NISD Superintendent Dr. Stu Musick, and BVCOG Director Michael Parks.

The State of the City meeting, which is co-hosted each year by the Navasota Grimes County Chamber of Commerce and the Navasota Examiner newspaper, is scheduled to begin with check-in and coffee at 9:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 10 a.m.

A limited number of reserved seats are available through the Chamber of Commerce which includes lunch. General admission is free beginning at 11:45 a.m. for those who wish to hear only the mayor’s speech. This event is chiefly underwritten by Republic Services, along with Bleyl Engineering, BodyBilt, Citizens State Bank, Entergy, Fultz Realty, Mid-South Electric Co-op, Navasota Abstract & Title Co., Navasota Examiner, NOV Grant Prideco, Trinity Heads Division, Williams Brothers Construction, with additional support from EHRA Engineering, Schulte Roofing, SVN Commercial Real Estate and Watts Financial Services.
