Navasota monitors Coronavirus

The City of Navasota is closely monitoring the evolving news surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in conjunction with local health officials and the CDC. Please be assured the health and safety of our citizens is always the top priority for the city of Navasota.

City officials have been monitoring and complying with the recommendations of the CDC, as well as state and local health officials. Currently there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Navasota.

No services or operations of the city have in place if further action is needed. We do been cancelled at this time. There are plans ply with the CDC recommendations. Citizens encourage everyone to be aware of and com 10 persons, and maintain at least a six-foot are encouraged to avoid crowds in excess of distance between people, and practice good hygiene. A full list of recommendations may be found at www.CDC.gov.

Residents are encouraged to pay their utility bill online at Navasotatx.gov to encourage social distancing.

The city of Navasota will continue to vigilantly monitor the situation and protect citizens to the full extent.

There was an emergency city council meeting held Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m. (results of that meeting were not available at press time).
