Country music legend Neal McCoy is headlining the inaugural Grimes County True Blue Foundation Banquet at the Grimes County Expo Center, 5220 FM 3455, in Navasota, Saturday, Nov.20, at 6 p.m.

The Grimes County True Blue Foundation bridges the gap between the community and local law enforcement. They provide agencies support through generous donations from businesses and community members. The donations are used to purchase additional equipment needed by law enforcement agencies that aren’t in the budget but are vital to protecting and serving the community. They also lend financial support and other important needs to officers who were injured in the line of duty. Scholarships are also awarded to attract men and women to participate in a police academy to aid in future law enforcement protection for the community.

Grimes County True Blue Foundation set an ambitious $100,000 goal because they are passionate about supporting those who selflessly protect families, businesses, churches, schools and communities.

Also performing at the banquet is Jeff Canada. Guest speakers include Houston Police Department Pilot Chase Cormier, Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell, Houston Police Officer Ronnie Cortez and Navasota Police Chief Shawn Myatt.

General admission tickets are available for $65. Discount tickets are available for law enforcement officers. Table sponsorships are also available. Tickets are available online at https://grimescountytrueblue.org/events. For more information or to donate, contact Christine Johnson, 936-755-1218 ext. 108.
