NPD receives ballistic shields

Navasota Police Department are receiving additional protection thanks to a grant.

In September 2022, NPD applied for a grant through the Texas Governor’s Office to purchase 25 rifle ballistic shields. These shields are smaller portable sized and are resistant to pistol and rifle rounds. The grant was awarded Feb. 9.

Shields have been assigned to each officer to carry in their patrol unit.
