TCDLA hosts reading of Declaration of Independence

    Examiner photo by Matthew Ybarra The Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TSDLA) hosted its annual reading of The Declaration of Independence Wednesday, July 3, on the steps of the historic Grimes County Courthouse. The ceremony is part of a statewide effort by local criminal defense lawyers associated with TCDLA. Readings began in 2010 and have grown steadily. In 2016, a reading was held in every county within the state of Texas. Participants in the formal reading are Front row L-R: Carl Dry, Vanessa Burzynski and TCDLA member Brent Cahill.
