Warrants for Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon have been issued for three Washington County residents.

The Navasota Police Criminal Investigation Division issued the warrants for Roshea Paldo, age 21, Shannon Steptoe, age 28 and Bobby Ewing age 31, following an investigation into an incident that took place Monday, Feb. 10.

Monday night officers responded to the 500 block of Nolan Street in which two male subjects were injured after two unknown males and a female struck them with weapons. After the assault, the suspects proceeded to steal a trailer from the victims’ residence. The injuries received were not life threatening according to Navasota Police Chief Shawn Myatt.

The following evening, Tuesday, Feb. 11, officers were informed the robbery suspects were in the parking lot of a business on LaSalle Street. Officers set up surveillance in the area and observed a dark-colored vehicle with several subjects matching the description of the robbery suspects from Monday night. The vehicle was driving around multiple business parking lots and eventually pulled into the parking lot of a business in the 300 block of North LaSalle Street.

Myatt stated a male and female exited the vehicle and quickly went into the business. Officers contacted the male and female who were being escorted back outside, and the female identified as Paldo began to resist. Paldo struggled with officers assaulting two officers in the process. She was eventually detained. The two officers suffered minor injuries.

The male suspect with Paldo was identified as Steptoe. Paldo was arrested and booked into the Grimes County Jail for Assault on a Peace Officer.
