VFW Post holds flag retirement ceremony

Dry said, “We dispose of old flags that are no longer serviceable They have served as a reminder of our nation and those who have defended our freedom.” This was followed by Incoming Post Commander Tony Lambert’s reading of the poem “Old Glory” about the birth of the United States flag 242 years ago on June 14, 1777, and the flag’s symbolism.
