A wreck Thursday, Nov. 21, between Anderson and Richards has claimed the life of Lindsey Hail, 29, of Huntsville.
Sergeant Jimmy Morgan of the Texas Department of Public Safety stated at approximately 10:51 a.m. Hail was driving eastbound on Farm to Market 2819 in a 2015 Toyota RAV 4 when her vehicle went into a side skid into the westbound lane. The Toyota collided with a 2006 GMC Dually pickup.
Hail was pronounced deceased on scene and her passenger, Theresa Hail, 49, of Huntsville was air-lifted to CHI St. Joseph in Bryan where she remains in critical condition.
Jeffery Harry, 39, who was driving the truck was transported to CHI St. Joseph in Bryan with non-life-threatening injuries.
Morgan said FM 2819 has been undergoing construction to resurface the roadway and it is possible Hail may have skid from contacting loose gravel on the roadway.
Hail’s body has been transported to Montgomery County Forensics where an autopsy is scheduled. Morgan said the investigation is continuing.
FM 2819 was closed till approximately 4 p.m. and traffic was being diverted onto FM 2562.
