Dolly Olden, 91, of College Station, passed away on Thursday, June 2. Visitation with family and friends was held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 6, at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life was at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, also at the funeral home with Rev. Glenn Connor presiding. Interment followed in Oakland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Olden was born October 8, 1930 in Navasota to George and Dymple (Carll) Creager. She attended school in Navasota and graduated from Navasota High School. In October of 1948, she married Arthur Olden and together they had four children. They had been married 51 years at the time of his death in 1999. A true country girl at heart, she loved raking hay and tending to the cattle on the family ranch. Her children were involved in 4-H and raising animals and she took pride in volunteering her time as a 4-H leader. Dolly worked at Navasota LP Gas and then Bryan ISD Transportation. For many years, she also worked at both auction barns in Navasota. She was a dedicated member of Rock Prairie Baptist Church in College Station.

Left to cherish her memory are sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Liz Olden, Luther and Alta Olden and John and Nancy Olden; daughter and son-in-law, Dixie and Donald Tracy; sister Anna Springfield; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Justin Olden, Ethan Olden, Kyle Joseph, Michael Olden, Tim Valdez and Chuck Moreau.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur Olden and brother James Creager.

The family would like to send a special “Thank You” to her caregivers Helen White, Stella Prosper, Lakendra Stancill, Takesha Alford and Stephanie Mallard.
