Edward “Harrell” Holland, 83, of Spring, Texas passed away Tuesday, June 4, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.

Harrell was born April 14, 1936 in Bes smay, Texas to Walter Homer and Oza Irene Holland. After graduating from Silsbee High School in 1954, he joined the Army as a cryptologist.

During the 1960s, Harrell became an amazing daddy to three daughters. In June of 1987, he married the love of his life Cathy Borski. Cathy introduced him to a new passion and love - raising cattle.

Harrell loved the building materials industry he worked in and the people he worked with. After retiring from Louisiana Pacific, he struggled with retirement.

He will be missed for his wit, charismatic warm outgoing personality and easy smile.

Harrell was proceeded in death by his parents Homer and Irene Holland and brother Henry Holland.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 32 years Cathy Holland; daughters Telisa and husband Robert Marsh of Cypress, Texas, Michelle Holland of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Selena Holland of Tulsa, Oklahoma; stepdaughter Kim Boudreaux of Slidell, Louisiana and stepson Jim Brasher of Los Angeles, California; 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters; brother Homer Holland of The Woodlands, Texas; brother Howard Holland of Dallas, Texas; sister Nancy Jones of Beaumont, Texas; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 East White Oak Terrace, Con-roe, Texas 77304. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. www.alz.org
