John Alvarado Sr. was born on March 4, 1944 in Cameron, Texas. On September 1, 2019, while surrounded by family, John went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 75.

Mr. Alvarado is proceeded in death by his parents, Leon Alvarado Sr. and Lilia Chavarria Alvarado; sister, Amalia Alvarado Rhodes; and two brothers, Leon Alvarado II and Noe Alvarado.

Mr. Alvarado is survived by his children, John Alvarado Jr. and wife Sylvia, Leon Alvarado and wife Veronica, Hope Vega and husband Bartolo Jr. and Victor Alvarado and wife Linda. He is also survived by his brothers, Ruben Alvarado, Samuel Alvarado, Rosendo Alvarado, Rafael Alvarado, Salomon Alvarado, and Mario Alvarado; sisters, Esperanza Benavides, Lusilia Hernandez, Gloria Alvarado and Clementina Alvarado. Further surviving, 8 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. John Alvarado was caring, patient and giving. His favorite past time was fishing, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his loved ones. He will be truly missed by all.

Services were conducted Saturday, September 7, 2019, at 11 a.m., with Jose Maldonado Officiating. Graveside services were held at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota, Texas. Funeral services entrusted to Rios Funeral Directors of New Caney, Texas.
