Sharon Floyd Windham, 75, of Shelbyville, Texas, passed away April 18, 2022. She was born on May 12, 1946, in Navasota, Texas to Charles Jordan Floyd and Geraldine Alice Simms.

Funeral services were held at Toledo Bend Community Baptist Church, 2543 FM 3172, Shelbyville, Texas, Friday, April 22, 2022, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Don Richey officiating. Visitation was held prior to the service on Friday, April 22, 2022, at 9 am. Interment followed in Strong Cemetery, Shelbyville.

Sharon was raised in Plantersville, Texas. She graduated from Navasota High School and later graduated Sam Houston State University. Sharon worked for many years in a Law Library. She made her home in Shelby County in 2004. Sharon was the Director of the Senior Center when she met the love of her life, Robert B. Windham, and the two were married in October 2007. They enjoyed over 14 years together.

Sharon enjoyed many things in life, she loved to read and crochet. She loved music and played the piano many years. Sharon loved being outdoors, whether it was in the garden or fishing, this was certainly her happy place. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Her contagious smile will certainly be missed by all that knew her. She loved the Lord and was a member of Community Baptist Church, Shelbyville.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Windham; daughters, Jennifer Marie Morgan Julian and Kyle Thomas, Sonya Floyd and husband Thom as; brother, Charles Stephen Floyd and wife Diana; sister, Rebecca Floyd Eddins and husband Carl; grandchildren, Skyler Jameson Thomas, Addalyn Lorelai Thomas; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Geraldine Floyd.

Pallbearers serving will be Buddy Kay, Sammy O’Rear, Scott Still, Thomas McSwain, Jason Filz, and Brock Filz.
