Funeral services for Willie Lee Henderson, 46, of Navasota, was held 11:00 a.m. Sat., Jan. 9, 2021, at Salem House of Blessings, 1515 E. Sycamore Street in Navasota. Burial followed in the Salem Cemetery in Anderson, Texas. Visitation was from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021, at the church.

Willie Lee Henderson, III known as WeeWee. He was born on August 31, 1974 in Brenham, Texas to Edith Peterson and Willie Henderson Jr. Willie departed this life on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at CHI St. Joseph Health in Bryan. He attended Navasota schools and later went to Job Corps in San Marcos, Texas.

At an early age, Willie confessed his life to Christ. Willie attended Salem First Baptist which later became Salem House of Blessings and Truevine Baptist Church. He loved going to church. Willie’s favorite prayer was “God grant me the Serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can and the Wisdom to know the difference.”

Willie is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Mavis Branch; paternal grandparents, Willie Henderson Sr. and Gracie Mitchell; aunts Georgia Pearl King and Ernest Jean Lee; uncles, Clay Mitchell, Charles Henderson, Patrick Kirk; sister, Monica Wesley and cousin, Anthony Lee.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Edith Peterson (Michael) of Bryan; father, Willie Henderson Jr. (Evelyn) of Navasota; fiancé, Danquaya Baldwin of Navasota; daughter, Nelouque Henderson of Bryan; sons, Willie Henderson, IV and Dkedreon Walter of Navasota; brothers, Jamason (Shakari) Coles, Jerel Jessie, Michael Peterson Jr. of Navasota, Dexter (Leah) Henderson of Albuquerque, New Mexico and James (Michelle) Coles of Houston; sisters, Tiara Henderson of Navasota, and Patrice Raglin of Dobbin; aunts, uncles, and a great host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lewis Funeral Home of Brenham, Texas.
