Racing to the finish line

I love this time of year! It is the final push during the last grading period and the last two months of school to take us to graduation, end of year celebrations, and award assemblies to highlight the accomplishments from this past year.

As I sat at the District Track Meet and watched our student-athletes race to the finish line, I couldn’t help but compare the imagery of what Navasota ISD is doing for the final straight-away of the 2020-2021 school year and the race to the finish line.

It is also, BY FAR, the busiest time of the year where all of those things mentioned above, and SO MUCH MORE, are in full swing. While this week was a short, four-day week it was packed with district baseball games, district softball games, the district golf tournament, the district track meet, tennis tournaments, UIL Academic Contests, and hundreds of other activities that come with a regular week of school.

We are so proud of our additions, renovations, and remodels that have been taking place throughout our district at all of our academic campuses and facilities. We are in the home stretch of our construction and bond projects, and we are excited about being in the final phases of completion for Phases 3, 4, and 5. More details and timelines coming in the next month as we plan the last leg of that race...

It truly is a great time to be a Rattler!

We are so proud that we are ALL IN this TOGETHER!
