Scam targeting veterans

Service members and veterans seeking employment need to be aware of a scam circulating the web. The website, “Hire Military Heroes,” prompts users to download an app that contains malicious malware and allows hackers to access a significant amount of personal information. The phony site shared a similar URL to the site “Hiring Our Heroes,” an employment site the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation launched.

Upon the Presidents’ signature on the National POW/ MIA Flag Act, it is now required that the POW/MIA flag be displayed whenever the American flag is displayed at prominent federal properties.

I hope all my fellow veterans had a good Veterans Day and partook in the free or discounted meals and deals offered to us veterans. A great big thank you to all who have supported our veterans, not only on Veterans Day, but every day. May God bless Texas and the USA.
