KickStart Kids earn TKO State Championships

Navasota KickStart Kids competed at the Texas Karate Organization (TKO) State Championships in Houston over the weekend. Over 500 competitors competed in the contest. Competitors had to earn a set amount of points during the tournament season to be eligible to compete in the TKO State Championship. Navasota competitors won 10 championship rings, five silver medals, three bronze medals and 11 state finalist awards. The team also had four students awarded Top Breaker Awards and three students earned placement into the Lone Star Xtreme Breakers Hall of Fame. The team is under the direction of Master Benjamin Mendez.
