NAVASOTA — It was a tough night for the Anderson-Shiro Lady Owls as they faced a tough East Bernard team who ended their season in the 3A Regional Quarterfinals Thursday, Nov. 5 in Navasota.
East Bernard was playing for their head coach who went into labor the night before the game and they came out on a mission. The Lady Owls had bright spots behind their defensive play at the net with senior Kyndal Bohnert leading the way. Bohnert was also dominant with her spikes nailing a high percentage.
The Lady Brahmas from East Bernard were a force to be reckoned with offensively. They were able to dominate with powerful spikes and excellent precision. The Lady Owls battled till the end and narrowed the gap in each game but fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-21).
East Bernard advanced to the Regional Semifinals to face the Lexington Lady Eagles. The game was scheduled for Monday, Nov. 9 (results were not available at press time).
The Lady Owls end their season with a 21-6 record.
