Navasota Public Library named BOQ

The Navasota Grimes County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors celebrated the Navasota Public Library, and their efforts to provide community programs that are both educational and engaging, by awarding the team with Business of the Quarter – Q1 of 2024. The team is led by Librarian Tiffany Byers, who for the last 3 years has been responsible for upgrades, changes and new programs for Grimes County.

County approves eBONDS program

Grimes County commissioners approved the eBONDS software program at the Dec. 20 Regular Meeting of Commissioners Court. IT Director Gregg Cannon told commissioners, “eBONDS replaces a program we had in place that was 20 years old. The company went out of business 10 years ago. We didn’t even have the software to reinstall if it crashed. All the departments love it. It makes their life a whole lot easier, especially the Sheriff’s office, and the district clerk and county clerk.”
