Grimes County Commissioner Barbara Walker shared a notice from TxDOT about a future project that will impact traffic on FM 2988. TxDOT plans to work on Texas 6 at FM 2988 Feb. 26 to March 8. The project is expected to last approximately 11 days. Traffic will be rerouted to CR 318 then back to FM 2988. Use caution in the area and with the detour. The construction will add a safety lane for entrance onto Texas 6 from FM 2988.
