Guest speaker will be Gina Flores, wife of U.S. Congressman Bill Flores of the 17th Congressional District. Before redistricting in 2012, Grimes County was in the 17th Congressional District and helped elect Bill Flores to Congress. As with most congressional wives, Gina is accomplished in her own right and has her own perspective of life “inside the beltway.” Pecos born and Panhandle raised, Flores attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1979 with a degree in teaching. She taught in both public and Christian schools for 18 years.
