Navasota High School student-athlete Jakayla Jones signed a national letter of intent Tuesday, April 27 with Howard College to play basketball. The six-foot post player will receive a full athletic scholarship which includes tuition, fees, books, and room and board for the next two years.

The tears flowed as Navasota senior pitcher Emily Ripkoski, the lone senior player, was honored during senior night at Ira Floyd Field Tuesday, April 20. Ripkoski has been a four-year starter for the Lady Rattlers and in 2018 etched her name in Lady Rattler history helping lead the team to its first playoff appearance in school history. Joining Ripkoski on the field were her parents John and Joyce Ripkoski along with her sister Katelyn.

SEALY – The Navasota Lady Rattlers continue their successful track season with three individuals and one relay team qualifying for the 4A Regional Track Meet at Clearlake ISD’s Challenger Stadium April 23 and 24.

The Navasota High School 4x100m Relay team placed third at the Area meet in Sealy and advance to Regionals. Team members are DJ Randle, Hayden, Woodard, Xavier Steptoe, Frankedric Powell, and Keshon Wilson (alternate).
