St Joseph's Catholic Church in Stoneham will host a fish fry March 10, and another will be hosted at the KC Hall in Anderson on March 24. Serving will begin at 5 p.m. and plates are $15.

 

Early registration for the Grimes County Youth Football Association Football and Cheer begins in April for all youth.

 

A multi-family church garage sale will be held Saturday, March 4, at 246 South Main in Anderson, beginning at 8 a.m. All proceeds will be used for a playground.

February is American Heart Month, a time to focus on your Cardiovascular Health.

 

Free Groceries are available every third Thursday of the month, 11 a.m. at Relay Station in Plantersville for families in Plantersville/Stoneham/Todd Mission.

 

Grimes County Master Gardener’s is hosting Gardening 101, March 4, from 9 a.m. until noon, at Navasota Tractor Supply. Grimes County Master Gardeners will be there to answer all your gardening questions and there will be several demonstrations.

 

Save the date for the 11th Annual Plantersville Crawfish Festival and Cook-Off Saturday, April 29, at 11:30 a.m.

 

Applications are open for MidSouth Electric Scholarships. Graduating seniors planning to attend college, university, trade or technical school may apply for a $1,000 scholarship. Parents or legal guardians must be a member of MidSouth Electric Co-op the application deadline is March 30.

 

Macedonia Baptist Church, 6957 CR206, Plantersville "Blackberry Community" invites Grimes County out to their Outreach/Health Fair on Saturday, April 15, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be resources to help the community such as MD Anderson, Texas Children’s Hospital, security information, food, clothing etc. Anyone who wants to be a part of this event or to donate, contact Ever Johnson, 936-894-2094.
